Broadcaster Choi Dong-seok left an enigmatic post.
On the 17th, Choi Dong-seok uploaded a photo to his social account saying, "My morning condition was really the worst, but I got myself up and this time I copied Nietzsche's words by hand."
The photo contained aphorisms by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, handwritten by Choi Dong-seok himself. The manuscript included the line "If you are bound to the past, you cannot move forward," which drew attention.
Choi Dong-seok wrote in the handwritten photo, "Do you have memories you regret? You would answer yes. Then I ask again. Do you think you can change the past? No matter how much you hold on, the past does not return. You can never change it again. Yet people cannot leave the past. They repeatedly dwell on mistakes, cling to things that are already over, and eat away at themselves. It is the same as constantly looking back while walking forward. The direction we must move is not backward but forward. If you are bound to the past, you cannot move forward. Life is not stopping but continuing to move forward." It appears he shared it because he empathized with the passage.
Along with this, Choi Dong-seok vowed, "I asked the cleaning aunt to help and the laundry aunt to help, relaxing while watching a movie. To move forward, let's rest for a while."
Meanwhile, Choi Dong-seok married Park Ji-yoon, who was his classmate from the KBS 30th recruitment announcer cohort in 2009, and the couple had one son and one daughter. However, they faced a breakup after Park Ji-yoon filed for divorce mediation in October 2023, and Choi Dong-seok drew attention by uploading several posts targeting Park Ji-yoon during the process. The two later engaged in lawsuits against each other for infidelity, and although both suits were dismissed at trial, Choi Dong-seok filed an appeal, so the legal battle is expected to continue.<
