'Brave Detective 5' released a teaser video that raises expectations ahead of its first broadcast.
On the 17th, a teaser video for 'Brave Detective 5' (directed by Lee Ji-seon) released through T-cast E Channel's official YouTube channel featured MC Ahn Jung-hwan, Kwak Sun-young, Yoon Dujun, who transformed into 'Yong-hyung' heroes, and profiler Kwon Il-yong.
The roughly 1-minute video begins with the four encountering shocking breaking news in their daily lives. Ahn Jung-hwan, who was eating at a restaurant, sees the news on the screen and angrily says, "What kind of guy is he?" Kwak Sun-young, who was walking her dog "Emong", sees a passerby's phone screen and urgently approaches, saying, "Can I look with you?"
Yoon Dujun, who was listening to the news through earphones in his car, also tells his manager, "I should get going quickly," urging departure. Then profiler Kwon Il-yong, dressed in a suit, looks at his watch with a somewhat tense expression.
Finally gathered at the recording studio, the four wait anxiously for the detective's arrival. When Ahn Jung-hwan asks, "Why is there still no news?" profiler Kwon Il-yong replies, "Well, they won't admit it easily." Then Kwak Sun-young asks, "But how did they catch him?", and Yoon Dujun says, "That's what I'm most curious about," raising curiosity and anticipation for the newly beginning 'Brave Detective 5' as they wait for the detective who will relay the details of the case.
After encountering crime news in their everyday lives and then gathering at the recording site, the four transform into 'Yong-hyung' heroes and appear ready to deeply immerse themselves in the true crime stories the detectives will deliver.
'Brave Detective' is a crime variety program in which detectives who solved real cases appear in person to vividly recount the investigative processes they experienced in the field. The show has continued through season 5 amid long-standing viewer affection. In addition to the production team and profiler Kwon Il-yong, who have worked on the program with Ahn Jung-hwan since 2022, actress Kwak Sun-young and singer-actor Yoon Dujun newly join, promising a different chemistry. This season will also examine the reality of crimes through real cases and more three-dimensionally illuminate incidents by including voices from detectives and experts in the field.
