"HYBE J-pop boy group" aoen (Aoen) announced a new single release and their first solo tour.
aoen (Yuuju, Ruka, Gaku, Hikaru, Sota, Kyosuke, Reo) held a showcase in Tokyo, Japan, on the 16th to celebrate the release of their second single INSTANT CRUSH and said, "We will go meet aoring (aoring, the fandom name) in all 47 prefectures across the country." They went on to say, "We have put everything of aoen into this tour," expressing their determination and receiving a warm response from the audience.
aoen's first solo tour will start with the Tokyo performance on April 23 and continue for about two months. Known as a "youth reminder" for expressing realistic emotions anyone can relate to through music, aoen is expected to deliver their own vibrant energy across Japan through this tour.
The new release INSTANT CRUSH fully captures aoen's refreshing and bouncy charm. The album includes four tracks that each portray the sudden thrill when someone's heart is moved in different ways, including the title track INSTANT CRUSH, as well as Offline, Crashing out, I love you..., and BLUE DIARY.
Japanese producer Monjoe (MONJOE), who has collaborated with various artists, singer-songwriter Noa (乃紫), composer Saeki Yusuke (SAEKI youthK), who has worked on songs for the Japanese groups Arashi (ARASHI) and SixTONES, and Hymax (HYMAX), formerly of the Korean indie rock band Googolplex, lent their talents to raise the release's completeness.
The title track INSTANT CRUSH captures the intense emotion of the moment one falls in love. After opening with the dreamy low-tone rap of Gaku, Ruka, Kyosuke, and Sota, a strong beat and lively melody are added, instantly heightening immersion. Catchy melodies and the seven members' distinctive vocals harmonize to show aoen's growth.
The other tracks each depict aoen's youth in different ways. Offline is a song that stands out with an atmosphere reminiscent of a glamorous show and rich orchestral sound. The ear-catching upbeat sound and the members' distinctive expressiveness combine to add listening enjoyment. Crashing out, I love you... is a song that captures a feeling that grows uncontrollably, characterized by an emotional melody and honest, unadorned lyrics. Closing the album, BLUE DIARY is a song in which aoen calmly looks back on the time they have walked with their fans.
