Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo are expected to meet as a perfect criminal and a relentless detective in Crime 101, promising a breath-taking chase.
On the 17th, the film Crime 101 (director Bart Rayton, distributed by Sony Pictures) released still cuts.
Crime 101 is an unpredictable crime thriller that depicts the incidents that occur when Davis (Chris Hemsworth), a perfectionist jewel thief on Route 101, and Lou (Mark Ruffalo), the detective who doggedly pursues him, collide. In particular, expectations are high for the reunion of Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor in the Avengers series, and Mark Ruffalo, who played the Hulk.
The released press stills deliver hair-trigger tension through the intersecting perspectives of the meticulous planner of crimes, the detective chasing him, and the people surrounding them. First, the still of Davis, sweaty and staring sharply at something, is intercut with a resolute expression reflected in a window, hinting at a prelude to the events soon to come. Especially striking is his image sitting in the driver's seat emitting a cold stare, fully revealing a cool-headed aspect who executes a perfect crime under his own strict rules.
The anguished look of Lou, the detective confronting him, suggests the difficulties of an investigation chasing a criminal who leaves no traces, and the urgent still of him holding a radio foreshadows the tense standoff between the two characters. Above all, the unexpected scene of the two people—one a criminal and the other a detective—walking side by side piques curiosity about their unpredictable changing relationship. In addition, the arrival of Ormon (Barry Keoghan), exuding a rebellious aura with silver hair, and Sharon (Halle Berry), an insurance broker for the upper class, completes the puzzle of the massive incident that will shake Route 101 and heightens anticipation.
Crime 101 is scheduled to open nationwide at Megabox on Apr. 8.
