Broadcaster Lee Hwi-jae returned to broadcasting after four years, and a lunchbox seemingly filled with the devotion of his wife Moon Jung-won was revealed, drawing attention.
On the 16th, broadcaster MC Bae posted on his social account, "Sis Hyeryeon, who prepared balloon flower because you use your throat a lot! And Hwi-jae hyung, whom I met on an emotional stage for the first time in a while! I give you lots of blessings and cheer for you," along with a photo.
In the photo, MC Bae revealed the gift he received that day from performer Cho Hye-lyeon along with the script for Immortal Songs. In a particularly striking photo that followed, a lunchbox was revealed with the phrase "Enjoy your meal. We support Lee Hwi-jae's stage."
The lunchbox contained ssambap, bulgogi and sweet and spicy fried chicken, and bore the heartwarming phrase "We support Lee Hwi-jae's stage." It is not known who gave this lunchbox, but as Lee Hwi-jae returned to broadcasting after a long time, reactions have followed suggesting that his wife Moon Jung-won might have supported her husband.
On the 16th, Lee Hwi-jae participated in the KBS2 Immortal Songs recording held at the KBS new building public hall in Yeoui-do, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It has been about four years since Lee Hwi-jae appeared on domestic broadcasting, following MBN Battle in the Box, which ended in January 2022.
The recording, organized as the "2025 entertainment industry king of entertainers special," was reported to have been attended by Lee Hwi-jae, Cho Hye-lyeon, Hong Seok-cheon, Park Joonhyung, Song Il-gook, Oh Man-seok, Kim Shin-young, Park Seong-gwak, Moon Seyoon and others. Lee Hwi-jae selected Choi Ho-seop's "When the years go by" for his performance.
Meanwhile, Lee Hwi-jae's stage on KBS2 Immortal Songs is scheduled to air on the 28th and April 4.
