Actor Park Shin-yang exposed the dark past of '10-million director' Jang Hang-jun.
Park Shin-yang will appear on KBS 2TV variety program Problem Child in House, airing at 8:30 p.m. on the 19th, and reveal behind-the-scenes stories of the drama "Sign."
On that broadcast, it was revealed that thanks to Park Shin-yang, Kim Eun-hee's first drama work, "Sign," was scheduled, drawing attention. At the time, Kim Eun-hee, who was a newcomer, "Sign" was facing scheduling before its programming and experienced a crisis, but after Park Shin-yang was cast, the programming was promptly confirmed and it was able to be released to the world.
Park Shin-yang said that at the time the director of "Sign" was Jang Hang-jun, and said, "During production director Jang Hang-jun was replaced by another director," a bombshell remark that surprised everyone. The reason why Jang Hang-jun, who recently reborn as the "13-million master" with the film "The Man Who Lives With the King," suddenly gave up the director position of "Sign" will be revealed in the main broadcast.
Park Shin-yang went on to say that he personally observed the autopsy process of more than 50 corpses for his role as the forensic doctor in "Sign," surprising everyone. Park Shin-yang, who said he tends to thoroughly research his character before filming, said he attended autopsies of as many as 50 to 100 corpses and even followed on-site examinations. "On the days I attended autopsies I felt like drinking a drink I normally couldn't even drink," he said, expressing his difficulties.
Park Shin-yang's harrowing survival story in Russia, where he went to study acting during the chaotic era following the collapse of the Soviet Union, is also revealed. During his student days in Russia, Park Shin-yang said, "At the time public safety was extremely poor, and someone even put a knife to me," revealing a terrifying study-abroad life that shocked viewers. He added that when his study funds ran out he suffered extreme hardship in Russia, was nearly evicted from his APT., and once collapsed from malnutrition while absorbed in acting. Park Shin-yang's tearful study-abroad life in Russia will be revealed on the broadcast of Problem Child in House.
