'Gourmet Heo Yeong-man's table hop' actor Yoon Jong-hoon once again mentioned his ideal type toward Kim Sook and expressed his sincerity.
On the 15th episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Gourmet Heo Yeong-man's table hop' (hereinafter 'Table Hop'), actor Yoon Jong-hoon visited long-established restaurants in Nonsan with Heo Yeong-man. Yoon Jong-hoon could not hide his excitement at the fact that they only went to genuinely great restaurants that had been around for more than 20 years.
The places they visited were a pork sundae soup restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, and a tofu specialty shop. In the case of the tofu shop, it was a meaningful visit because it was the place where cheonggukjang was first developed in Nonsan. They entered a deep mountain valley as the evening grew late.
Leaving the creepy story behind, Yoon Jong-hoon said, "I was sleeping and a woman was staring at me. She tried to hug me. I refused, and she told me to stay still," and "But thinking about it, she was the woman I actually saw when I was six. That woman hugged me forcibly when I was little and I passed out," recounting the frightening incident.
The shop they arrived at was warm and bustling with people. It was obviously a popular place. A freshly boiled curd stew made with tofu made that morning and a three-year-old homemade aged kimchi stew appeared. Yoon Jong-hoon said, "They don't seem to use a lot of seasoning," and Heo Yeong-man said, "The seasoning is mild. It's not strong," as they could not help but sigh from the deep, clean flavor and drank it down heartily.
The jajangmyeon shop that had been in business for decades was run by a rare female Chinese cuisine owner. The place, run by the eldest daughter who succeeded her grandfather and father, preserved the taste of the old-style jajang. In particular, the tray-style jajang enhanced its aroma by adding jajang to separately stir-fried seafood.
Yoon Jong-hoon said, "It's more jajangmyeon-like while being sweet and spicy. It's somehow much richer and deeper in taste. There's really a lot of seafood in it," and "It would be perfect for those who like fried jjamppong or feel something's missing from jajangmyeon," expressing his thoughtful impressions of the taste.
Heo Yeong-man asked Yoon Jong-hoon various questions. When Heo Yeong-man asked about his debut, Yoon Jong-hoon, who spent a long time unknown, answered matter-of-factly. Yoon Jong-hoon said, "I was performing, doing theater, and they picked me for a one-person two-role part," adding, "It was an over-the-shoulder shot. Only the shoulders were shown from behind. Since it was a role that had to exist as the counterpart, other actors hesitated, but I liked it because it was a way to make money," revealing his motive for debuting.
Heo Yeong-man then asked about his ideal type. Yoon Jong-hoon shyly smiled and said, "I keep putting Kim Sook noona in awkward situations, but it's comedian Kim Sook noona," and "On one program Kim Sook said, 'Why would a man earn money outside and not behave modestly? Behave modestly and stay at home,' and that came across as very progressive and struck me strongly," adding a shy laugh. In fact, that day Yoon Jong-hoon surprised everyone by serving a whole boiled chicken he had brought in a pressure cooker.
