Singer and actor IU showed unusual confidence in her next work Perfect Crown.
On the 16th IU posted on her personal Instagram the group poster for MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown along with the comment "4.10 Fri 9:40 p.m. fun."
The post IU made indicates the broadcast time of Perfect Crown, which will premiere at 9:40 p.m. on Friday, April 10. IU described it herself as "fun," expressing confidence in the work.
Perfect Crown is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea and tells the story of a destiny-defying, class-breaking romance between a chaebol woman who has everything but is irritating because she is of commoner status, and a sorrowful man who is the king's son but can have nothing. IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung-yeon appear.
IU plays Seong Hee-ju, CEO of Castle Beauty in the drama. Born a concubine's son of the Castle Group, Seong Hee-ju has dazzling looks, exceptional intelligence, a fierce competitive spirit, and even business skills as evidenced by winning the best entrepreneur award, but her commoner status remains a weakness in Korea's constitutional monarchy, where the authority of the yangban is still formidable.
Accordingly, to overcome the limitations of being a concubine's child and a commoner, Seong Hee-ju sets a grand and secret goal to enter into a contractual marriage with Prince Ian (played by Byeon Woo-seok), the nation's beloved royal, and the events that unfold will be depicted in Perfect Crown.
Meanwhile, MBC's new drama Perfect Crown will premiere at 9:40 p.m. on April 10.
