Singer and actress Seohyun shared her thoughts after finishing a violin recital.
Seohyun said on the 16th, "Through this performance, it was a great honor that I could take on a new challenge in my life, and it was a happy and thankful time. I want to sincerely thank everyone who joined me. Every moment I spent with people who love music was so precious to me and remained a valuable experience that brought many realizations."
She went on, "When I first decided to take on the challenge, I think fear came first. I was invited as a special collaborator for an amateur performance rather than as a major, and although it was a performance meant to be a festival for hobbyists who love music, it is also true that I felt a lot of pressure and burden on myself wondering whether I could do well playing the violin for the first time on a big stage."
She added, "However, during the preparation for this performance, I received encouragement and support from truly wonderful people, which allowed me to gradually set aside doubts about my shortcomings and take on this challenge with a happy heart," and expressed gratitude, "Above all, I am deeply grateful to teacher Kim Hyun-jung for sincerely cheering me on more than anyone and teaching me generously from one to ten."
She also said, "I sincerely thank conductor Jo Sang-wook, who always encouraged me with warm encouragement and praise. And thanks to the leaders of Sol Orchestra and the wonderful members who joined with a love for music and passionate enthusiasm, each and every one of them, all the acquaintances who sent warm support, and the fans and all the audience members who came to see the performance, I was able to leave all the pressure behind and find the courage."
Finally, she said, "Although clumsy, thank you once again for sharing our heartfelt performance," and added, "I hope classical music can be a little closer in more people's daily lives and accompany them as a small joy."
Seohyun performed as a special collaborator at the Sol Philharmonic Orchestra's 8th regular concert held on the 13th at Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul. At the performance that day, she played Vittorio Monti's masterpiece Csárdás, in which intense rhythms and poignant melodies intersect, presenting the charm of classical music to the audience.
