tvN's new trendy observational reality show 'Gugidong Friends' released its first teaser video capturing the joys and sorrows of the housemates.
The show, directed by Lee Seyoung, will premiere on tvN on Apr. 10 at 8:35 p.m. 'Gugidong Friends' follows same-age singles with strong personalities who have lived alone for a long time as they live together honestly and boldly in a no-pretenses daily observational reality format. Through the Gugidong lives of Jang Do-youn, Lee Da-hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Geun-seok, Ahn Jae-hyeon and Kyung Soo-jin, it will reflect realistic scenes of a 1.5 household and a new form of cohabitation desired by a generation for whom marriage is not the only answer, offering empathy and consolation.
In the released first teaser, Jang Do-youn, Lee Da-hee, Choi Daniel, Jang Geun-seok, Ahn Jae-hyeon and Kyung Soo-jin speak candidly, voicing the feelings of those who lived alone and explaining why they gathered in one house, drawing attention. In particular, Lee Da-hee worries, "Am I really okay living alone?" while Choi Daniel confesses to the silence he feels in an empty home, and Jang Do-youn reveals a vague fear about situations that could arise if she gets sick, attracting attention.
Also, as they are accustomed to being alone, some show fear about living with unfamiliar peers, and the lively household scene with six housemates draws attention. Suddenly seeing Choi Daniel cry startles the housemates, and when Jang Do-youn, Lee Da-hee and Kyung Soo-jin sit around the table and all shed tears, curiosity rises about what might be happening to them.
Also captured are joyful high-energy moments of them dancing together, the cold atmosphere surrounding Jang Geun-seok and Kyung Soo-jin, and Ahn Jae-hyeon being awkwardly cautious between them, promising dynamic episodes arising from their shared daily life and chemistry that will bloom within.
