Netflix series Bloodhounds season 2 released press stills.
The Netflix series Bloodhounds season 2, which will be released on Apr. 3 (Fri), tells the story of Geonwoo (Woo Do Hwan) and WOOJIN (Lee Sang Yi), who defeated a ruthless illegal loan shark gang, once again landing a satisfying straight hook against a global illegal boxing league ruled by money and violence. With thrilling impact in the expanded universe of a global illegal boxing league, it is expected to deliver the ultimate catharsis with electrifying action.
Eighteen press stills released amid intense interest amplify curiosity about the round that will begin over the dark league, putting the lives of Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yi and Jung Jihoon at stake. Above all, the return of the tightened bond of the "Geonwoo‑Jin family" and the presence of the cruel and cold villains who threaten them raise expectations to the fullest.
First, Geonwoo, who has returned with the champion's physicality, and WOOJIN, with a more mature gaze, catch the eye. The peaceful daily life they recovered after sweeping away the illegal loan shark gang is swept into a fiercer whirlpool beginning with a dangerous offer from Baekjeong (Jung Jihoon), the operator of the global illegal boxing league. In the released stills, Geonwoo confronting Baekjeong in a space darkened by shadow raises the pulse, while Baekjeong's sharp blade thrust at Geonwoo and WOOJIN heightens the sense of crisis. As events of an overwhelming scale, such as a car exploding before their eyes, continue, attention focuses on Geonwoo's and WOOJIN's second fight — Geonwoo wounded and bruised but never able to give up, and WOOJIN armed with a sense of responsibility toward his family.
Meanwhile, the strong bonds continuing from season 1 are expected to be the top viewing point for fans who have been waiting for Bloodhounds season 2. Ail Group chairman Minbeom (Choi Si‑won) and his cousin and police team head Kangyong (Choi Young‑Jun) join the fight against Baekjeong's gang without hesitation, supporting the two in every way, and Kwangmu (Park Hoon), armed with marine corps spirit, steps to the front with his usual charm and fighting spirit. Adding to this are Soyeon (Yoon Yoo‑seon), who looks at her sons with worried eyes, cyber investigation unit alumnus Taeyoung (Park Ye‑ni) and Kangyong's junior Woojeong (Cha Ji‑hyuk), whose joining gives the "Geonwoo family" a grim appearance that seems to foreshadow a difficult fight.
The presence of Baekjeong's gang, who will depict a new form of "evil," is also intense. Taegum (Hwang Chan‑sung), who possesses fast, precise martial arts and exceptional situational judgment; Manbae (Lee Si‑eon), who sets the stage based on excellent connections and information; and hacker Allen (Lee Myung‑ro), who is central to operating the global illegal boxing league. Their meticulous and organized division of roles, threatening Geonwoo and WOOJIN up close, creates a breath‑stopping tension.
Director Kim Juhwan said about Bloodhounds season 2, "I think the reason viewers around the world loved Bloodhounds was its friendship, action and a clear evil that must be punished. Our goal was to strengthen these three appeal points and show them anew. The action has come back faster and stronger, the friendship deeper and more intense, and the evil returned with a strength and ferocity never seen before," raising expectations.
The dazzling return of the Bloodhounds who will protect to the end and bite to the end, the even more brutal band of evil, and the Netflix series Bloodhounds season 2, which will deliver the ultimate catharsis with more evolved action, will be released worldwide on Netflix on Apr. 3 (Fri). <
