Choi Ji-soo of 'Undercover Miss Hong' revealed that she is currently working six days a week as a part-timer.
On the 15th, tvN's You Quiz on the Block channel released a pre-release video ahead of this week's broadcast.
Choi Ji-soo, who appeared in the tvN weekend drama Undercover Miss Hong, which recently ended with a peak viewership rating of 12.4%, played a second-generation chaebol in the drama, but in reality she drew attention for the polar opposite image of being a part-time job queen.
In the drama, Choi Ji-soo passionately portrayed Kang Noh-ra, an unnamed heiress who suddenly rose to become the top successor to Hanmin Securities. But in reality, she was supporting herself through part-time jobs while sustaining her acting career through numerous auditions.
Choi Ji-soo revealed, "I'm working in a mascot costume, at a logistics center and at a restaurant," and a surprised MC Yu Jae-seok asked back, "Are you still doing that now?" Choi Ji-soo answered, "These days I work six days a week part-time, and on the one day I have off I go to auditions."
Yu Jae-seok asked, "I'm curious what your parents say when they see you like this," and before Choi Ji-soo could answer she showed tears, saying, "I started working properly in a factory to pay off my student loans. My mother seemed to cry watching me go to the factory," and she burst into tears.
Choi Ji-soo's mother wrote a letter directly to her daughter, and the daughter, seeing it, buried her face in the letter and wept. In a video letter to her mother, Choi Ji-soo said, "Thank you for supporting my dream when everyone else said it wouldn't work," and could not stop crying.
You Quiz will air on tvN at 8:45 p.m. on the 18th.<
