The group CORTIS (CORTIS) concentrated fans' attention with solid live performances after being consecutively invited to major Japanese festivals.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) performed at the '42nd Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2026 Spring/Summer' (hereinafter 'Tokyo Girls Collection') held on March 14 at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium in Japan.
'Tokyo Girls Collection' began in 2005 and has established itself as a major festival encompassing fashion and music. Top-tier models take the runway, and contemporary global star artists put on special stages. CORTIS, despite not having officially debuted in Japan, stood out by appearing on the fourth segment stage, which served as the festival finale.
That day CORTIS performed a total of five songs, including the global hit "GO!", "What You Want", "JoyRide", "FaSHioN", and "YOUNGCREATORCREW". They walked the runway at a relaxed pace while singing and interacting with the audience, and they freely traversed the stage, showcasing their energy. The members said in Japanese, "Your enthusiasm is really hot," and "Please look forward to the mini album 2 'GREENGREEN,' which will be released on May 4," eliciting a strong cheer from the crowd.
CORTIS was also invited to perform at the music festival 'D.U.N.K. Showcase in K-Arena Yokohama 2026' held at K-Arena Yokohama in Japan on the 13th. They unveiled the new release track "YOUNGCREATORCREW" in Japan for the first time, and the audience enjoyed the festival, singing along to the song even though it had not yet been officially released.
CORTIS expanded their global activities not only in Japan but also in the United States. In February they were invited as headliners to the 'NBA Crossover concert series' music festival organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA), becoming the first K-pop artist to do so. On Spotify, the global audio and music streaming platform, the cumulative plays of their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' surpassed 400 million as of the chart dated Feb. 26. The album exceeded cumulative sales of 2 million copies (according to Circle Chart) within six months of release, recording it as the second double-million-selling debut album in K-pop history.
CORTIS will release the title track of the new album on April 20. The mini album 2 'GREENGREEN', which contains six songs including the title track, will be officially released on May 4.
