Chef Jung Ho-young boasted of his elevated status after Culinary Class Wars, but said Chef Jung Ji-seon still has more overseas popularity.
On the afternoon of the 15th, on KBS 2TV's The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears, Yang Jun-hyuk, nicknamed "the god of amberjack," who has annual sales reaching 3 billion won, joined as the youngest staff at Chef Jung Ho-young's restaurant.
That day Chef Jung Ho-young moved quickly to manage the busy establishment and assigned tasks to each employee. Chef Jung, having called all staff together, said, "Today we especially have one youngest staff member," and the person who appeared at that moment was Yang Jun-hyuk.
Yang Jun-hyuk appeared with a mysterious box and had brought a monkfish from Pohang, and Jung Ho-young exclaimed, "It's hard to find one this big." Jung Ho-young asked Yang Jun-hyuk for the monkfish for the monkfish dissection show he had presented on Culinary Class Wars, and Yang Jun-hyuk, who gladly agreed, was treated to udon.
Yang Jun-hyuk mentioned Jung Ho-young's changed standing and said, "You show up whenever they play it these days," and Jung Ho-young bragged, "I've been busy since Culinary Class Wars. About five commercials are under discussion now, including electronics, food, and kitchenware."
Jung Ho-young said about his recent popularity, "I feel like my popularity has improved because the way Myungsoo hyung treats me has changed. He asked what my line was, but these days he offers to vouch for me," and Park Myung Soo acknowledged, "That's right. Jung Ho-young and Jung Ji-seon said they would vouch for him."
When Jung Ho-young asked, "If only one of the two can vouch, who would it be?" Park Myung Soo said, "The vibe is Jung Ho-young. And Jung Ji-seon is immersed overseas, so he might be hard to reach. Doesn't Chef Jung Ho-young have calls?" Jung Ho-young gloomily replied, "I was contacted to open a store in Japan. I'm doing a cooking show in Singapore next month. But Jung Ji-seon, who doesn't want to admit it, is doing surprisingly well."
Jung Ho-young asked Yang Jun-hyuk to work a one-day part-time shift, and Yang Jun-hyuk was immediately put on serving duty. The problem was that Yang Jun-hyuk's hands were very slow. Although a one-day part-timer, Yang Jun-hyuk worked as if it were his own shop, and Jung Ho-young laughed, "Jun-hyuk hyung runs a store, so he's very polite."
However, a problem occurred with room table service. When told there were three guests in the room, Yang Jun-hyuk, who moved there, was flustered to find three-person parties at two tables and ultimately resolved it with a staff member's help. While serving diligently, Yang Jun-hyuk continued with voluntary fan service, and Jung Ho-young worried, "If you talk too long, the noodles can get soggy."
Yang Jun-hyuk continued fan service by taking photos with students from Daegu, and one customer said they had already eaten on the second floor and came down, but because Yang Jun-hyuk was there they decided to eat again. In response, Jung Ho-young moved him to the kitchen and said, "The dishes have piled up, so please help with the dishwashing."
After the dishwashing, Chef Jung Ho-young called Yang Jun-hyuk to the second floor and began the full-fledged "monkfish dissection show." As customers increased and waiting lines grew, he prepared the "monkfish dissection show" event. Jung Ho-young explained, "I hadn't done it anywhere since that broadcast. This was the first time." Close friend Chef Song Hoon also attended, drawing attention.
After quickly finishing the monkfish dissection, Chef Jung Ho-young served guests the "steamed egg custard with monkfish liver" he had prepared on Culinary Class Wars, and guests praised the food while tasting it, saying, "It's so delicious," and "It's so tender." Song Hoon also praised it, saying, "It's so delicious. The softness of the egg and the softness of the monkfish liver were harmonized appropriately. The yuzu's sweetness is subtle."
