Singer Kim Jang Hoon revealed a daughter he had been keeping hidden.
On the 14th, the MBN 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi' aired an episode titled 'Yes-man special, why can't I say no?' in which Kim Jang Hoon's experiences were shared.
Kim Jang Hoon said, 'Because I couldn't say no, I even have a daughter,' and everyone was surprised and asked, "You have a daughter?" Noh Sa-yeon guessed, "Are you saying you gave birth to a daughter because you couldn't refuse women?"
Kim Jang Hoon said, "In the past, when you look at the sports pages they would say 'Seo Taiji marriage' and in the related section they'd say 'married to music,' right? One day it came out saying 'Kim Jang Hoon has a hidden daughter,'" and recalled, "Someone asked me. They asked me to come to a rice delivery ceremony at a severe disability facility called 'Somang's house.' My principle was to do only things I could do consistently. There were places I had been going for 17 years, 14 years. If I went once and then stopped, they'd be disappointed. It wasn't something I had bought, so why should I go to a delivery room? I said I'd go just once and visited carrying kimchi and a donation."
He continued, "But they kept saying in front of me, 'This child will die. It's a two-month-old baby and if it doesn't have surgery it will die.' They said it as if to be heard. I pretended not to hear. I can't save everyone," and added, "After the event, on the way home I ended up going back. They said the surgery cost was 50 million won. So I said to do the surgery."
But they asked to put the surgery on credit. Kim Jang Hoon said, "How bewildered must the admissions office have been. So I said, I'm Kim Jang Hoon; won't you get repaid? They did the surgery. The hospital gave a very cheap price. They said 30 million won would be enough, so I raised the money and paid it, and 10 million won remained and was given to the facility," he said.
He went on, "After the surgery I met the baby again and she came into my arms. A year later I celebrated her birthday and now she's 17. She calls me dad," and added, "Do you think dad will come again? She says probably not. She tells me not to expect it. I go randomly sometimes. If you give expectations it's worse than doing nothing. I go sometimes, and I think it would be nice if when she gets married I could walk in holding her hand."
