Kim So-young and Oh Sang-jin, a married couple, are troubled over their second child's name.
On the 14th, a new video titled "Is the second child's name Otani? Kim So-young embarrassed by Oh Sang-jin's ambition" was posted on the YouTube channel "Kim So-young's Ddinggeuri TV."
While eating that day, the two discussed the second son's name, and Kim So-young said, "Name? I'm totally serious about the name right now." Oh Sang-jin countered, "You're not as fussed as you were with Sua," and Kim So-young said, "With Sua it was really starting from scratch. I had to make a two-syllable name."
Kim So-young told viewers, "We wrote names on the chalkboard and worried about which name to choose. We picked five candidates and decided after seeing the baby's face at the postpartum care center," and she explained, "But this time interest in the name is huge, and two syllables of the name are already decided. I'll name him 'O SuO.' But when you think of it as a male name…"
Naming the candidates she had in mind, Kim So-young asked, "Suho, Soohyun, Suyoon, what… do you like it if it becomes SuO?" Oh Sang-jin said, "I have no objection," and added, "I think it's good for siblings to be connected like that. It creates a bond."
Also, Kim So-young said of names recommended by AI, "O Sugang, O Sucheol, O Sugil. These are too one-dimensional," and she said, "O Suhyun seems too much like a model student, and Suhyuk is too strong. It sounds like a metrosexual guy. I thought of Sujae, but my husband rejected it outright." Oh Sang-jin again protested with "What is Sujae?" making viewers laugh.
Kim So-young said, "If you see this, Ddinggus will leave opinions," and "It has to match the face," to which Oh Sang-jin suggested, "How about Tani? Otani," and Kim So-young flatly rejected it, saying, "I hate it."
Thinking of their first daughter Sua, Kim So-young said, "Sua wasn't a leading candidate at the time either, but when I saw her face I thought, 'It's Sua.' I think the same will happen this time: you hold candidates and the face will decide."
Meanwhile, Kim So-young married senior announcer Oh Sang-jin in 2017 and they have one daughter. The couple recently announced the pregnancy of their second child and received many congratulations. Kim So-young is due to give birth in April.
