Popera singer Im Hyung-ju revealed why he has given countless free performances and the reason he is holding a paid solo concert in Seoul for the first time in three years.
On the 14th, the MBN variety show 'Sokpuri Show Dongchimi' aired an episode titled 'Yes Man special, why can't I say no,' in which the cast members' candid stories were revealed.
On the show that day, Im Hyung-ju said, "I will hold a solo concert in Seoul for the first time in three years," and he added, "This time it's not a free sharing solo concert but a paid spring solo concert," drawing attention.
When Im Hyung-ju repeatedly mentioned that it was a 'paid performance,' Yoon In-kyung, who was listening, burst into laughter. When Kim Yong Man asked the reason, Yoon In-kyung explained, "Im Hyung-ju can't say no, so he has done a lot of free performances."
Im Hyung-ju nodded and confessed, "I might be the person who has done the most free performances in Korea after Kim Jang Hoon hyungnim," making the studio roar with laughter.
Then Kim Yong Man asked, "You did so many free performances, so why are you doing a paid performance this time?" and Im Hyung-ju gave an honest answer. He said, "I also have to earn money to donate," which drew sympathy.
Meanwhile, Im Hyung-ju's spring solo concert is scheduled to be held at Yeongsan Art Hall in Seoul on Apr. 10.<
