Broadcaster Jung Si-ah said she stopped shopping for clothes because of her children's education expenses.
On the 13th, Jung Si-ah released a new video titled "Finishing spring fashion with Jung Si-ah's son's clothes: How about an outing matched with son's clothes?" on her YouTube channel Jung Si-ah Asijeong.
That day, Jung Si-ah coordinated spring clothes using her son's clothes and opened up, "Jun-woo has been growing since he was young. We have worn matching outfits since around fifth or sixth grade of elementary school. Back then we even wore the same sneakers, but now that he's over size 290, we can't wear the same ones anymore."
She continued, "I used to really like clothes, but I buy less and less. I don't have the energy to care about clothes. Because children's education costs are so high, it naturally became that way."
Her husband Baek Do-bin also had a desire for clothes. He said, "My husband even had a separate wardrobe. But after marriage and raising children, my wardrobe and my husband's wardrobe disappeared. It's not just that the space is gone; it feels like our nation's dreams have been put away together."
Jung Si-ah emphasized, "I like shopping, but now it seems I relieve stress by buying Jun-woo's clothes. The jeans I'm wearing now are about six years old, and the tops are several years old. I really didn't buy anything for two years. Even before, if I bought something it was one or two pieces a year. Because i-dle tuition is so high, I can't afford to buy my own clothes."
She added, "I used to buy a lot of clothes, but now even buying one piece for myself feels wasteful. I wanted to show how to stylishly match using my son's or my husband's clothes at home."
Meanwhile, Jung Si-ah married actor Baek Yoon-sik's son Baek Do-bin in 2009 and has one son and one daughter. Her son Jun-woo is active as a basketball player, and her daughter Seo-woo is attending Yewon School majoring in art.
