In the photos, Baek Ji-yeon is talking while drinking coffee with her son and daughter-in-law. In particular, Baek Ji-yeon, having fallen for coffee again after a long time, shared deeper conversations and added meaning by being together with her son and daughter-in-law.
Baek Ji-yeon's only son, Kang In-chan, married Jung Ji-soo, the second daughter of HL Group chairman Jung Mong-won, in a church in Jongno District, Seoul, in June 2023. Jung Mong-won is the second son of HL Group founder and honorary chairman the late Jung In-young. He is also known as the nephew of the late Jung Ju-hyung, chairman of Hyundai Group.
Regarding the chaebol daughter-in-law, Baek Ji-yeon said, "When I first met my daughter-in-law, my heart trembled so much. I was more nervous than a live broadcast. The moment I opened the door and went in, tears came out," and said, "I wondered why I suddenly cried; when I was raising my son as a child, I always prayed for him. I don't know what I was thinking, but I said, 'Please bless that child (my daughter-in-law) who is growing up somewhere.' Later, when I saw the face of the prospective daughter-in-law, I thought, 'So you are that child,' and tears came."
Meanwhile, Baek Ji-yeon debuted in 1987 as an MBC 15th class open recruitment announcer.
