Broadcaster MC Ding-dong has been accused of assaulting female streamer A during an internet live broadcast, and A gave an exclusive interview reflecting on the situation.
Recently, a video titled "MC Ding-dong assault victim audio. "Flower viper? Why the victim refused to settle"" was posted on the YouTube channel "Manse TV."
The video showed a YouTuber who said they were close with A discussing the recent controversy over MC Ding-dong assaulting a female streamer and calling A, who is known as the victim, on the phone.
In the interview with the YouTuber, A said, "I was just doing a sig mission and cursed, and I touched that person's trauma. But that person had often looked down on me. When the person who looked down on me the most said that, my hand went up without hesitation in the moment," she said.
A said her hair was grabbed but she was not hit, and the loud noise was the sound of a microphone being thrown. A said, "He apologized, but I hated the line 'you were careless but I was careless too' so much that I decided to go all the way," explaining why she refused MC Ding-dong's settlement.
A said, "I understand the settlement money was offered to our entertainment company, but we refused. I didn't feel a sincere apology, and the atmosphere was that I was being labeled a flower viper as if I were shaking money out of him, so I decided not to settle," and added, "If I had been a flower viper I would have quietly taken the money. I wouldn't have wanted punishment."
A said the incident has caused her great mental stress. A said, "My mother comes into my room every 30 minutes to check whether I'm dead or alive. I now have PTSD and panic disorder together, and I can't go out without a hat and mask. I hired a lawyer, so I expect they will handle it," she said.
The MC Ding-dong female streamer assault controversy began during recent Excel-style internet broadcasts MC Ding-dong did with several streamers. While A was doing a vulgar rap at viewers' donation prompts, she mentioned a drunk driving and hit-and-run incident from two years ago, which enraged MC Ding-dong, who turned serious and grabbed A's hair.
MC Ding-dong later said, "I also do not take the weight of this matter lightly, and I will take full responsibility where necessary. However, I will no longer tolerate the situation in which facts and nonfacts alike are spreading as accepted truth. The exact circumstances will be clearly revealed through legal procedures and investigation."
