Actor Adam Sandler (59) was named the highest-earning star in Hollywood for 2025.
On the 13th (local time), Forbes released a list of the "highest-paid actors of 2025," and Adam Sandler ranked first after recording total revenue of $48 million (Hanwha about 66.2 billion won) during the last fiscal year.
Sandler last year not only produced and starred in the sequel to the legendary sports comedy "Happy Gilmore 2" but also teamed up with George Clooney in the Netflix film "Jay Kelly," winning both critical acclaim and box office success. In particular, he had his best year, receiving acting recognition such as a Golden Globe supporting actor nomination for "Jay Kelly."
Following Sandler, Tom Cruise (63) of "Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning" came in second with $46 million, followed by Mark Wahlberg ($44 million), Scarlett Johansson ($43 million), and Brad Pitt ($41 million) to complete the top five.
A particularly notable figure on this list is Millie Bobby Brown (22), who ranked 10th. The heroine of the Netflix "Stranger Things" series recorded $26 million (about 35.8 billion won) in revenue, making history as the youngest person ever to enter Forbes' high-earning actors list.
Also on the top 10 were Denzel Washington ($38 million), Jack Black ($28 million), Jason Momoa ($28 million), and Daniel Craig ($27 million), proving their continued ticket power.
Meanwhile, the total revenue of the top 20 Hollywood actors in 2025 was about $590 million, down about 20% from the previous year ($730 million), highlighting shifts in the industry's landscape.
