"전현무계획3" broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo and broadcaster and former announcer Park Ji-yoon engaged in a pleasant battle of wits over their odd senior-junior relationship.
On the 13th broadcast of MBN "전현무계획 season 3", Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube were shown continuing a "resident restaurant tour" in Jeju.
That day Jun Hyun-moo hinted cryptically about the part 2 guest, saying, "This is someone I have a long-standing connection with, and while we are not on bad terms, the form of address is awkward." The guest who appeared shortly after was Park Ji-yoon, who lives in Jeju. Park Ji-yoon explained, "I am Park Ji-yoon, in my sixth year since moving to Jeju. I am younger than Jun Hyun-moo, but as an announcer cohort I am two cohorts senior." In fact, Jun Hyun-moo was born in 1977 and is KBS public recruitment class 32, while Park Ji-yoon was born in 1979 but is class 30, making her his senior.
As soon as they sat down, Jun Hyun-moo revealed, "When Park Ji-yoon was a senior she enforced discipline a lot, so there is still a chilly feeling," prompting laughter.
The two continued the conversation about the awkward form of address. Jun Hyun-moo said, "There is no set form of address between us. When we make eye contact we just talk," and added, "People around us tell us to settle on a title, but I hate it when Park Ji-yoon calls me 'oppa'."
KwakTube suggested, "When you finish military service you switch to casual speech later, right?" and proposed, "Now that we're freelancers, can't we decide on a form of address?" But amid the awkward atmosphere, the decision was postponed again. Then, when side dishes were served, Jun Hyun-moo playfully said, "Senior Ji-yoon, what's wrong~", and Park Ji-yoon immediately shot back, "Don't do that, oppa!", provoking laughter.
In particular, Jun Hyun-moo was greatly flustered by the address "oppa," saying, "Park Ji-yoon calls me oppa," and recoiled, turning the set into a sea of laughter. Park Ji-yoon also retorted, "Is the word oppa such a startling word?" and KO'd Jun Hyun-moo.
