DAY6 (DAY6) Wonpil releases a new song "love ward" and returns as a solo artist.
Wonpil will release his first mini album Unpiltered (Unpiltered) on the 30th. JYP Entertainment posted an image of the new album tracklist on DAY6's official social media channels on the afternoon of the 13th, raising expectations.
The new release includes a total of seven tracks, led by the title track "love ward," "Toxic Love" (Toxic Love), "I became an adult," "Up All Night" (Up All Night), "Step by Step" (Step by Step), "Not a million flowers," and "Piano."
Wonpil wrote the lyrics and composed every track on the new album, demonstrating his abilities as an emotional singer-songwriter. Longtime collaborator composer Hong Ji-sang and creators behind numerous K-pop hits, Lee Woo-min "collapsedone", Park Woo-sang (LOGOS), TAEY (LOGOS), and mingtion (minGtion) joined to add variety to the album.
Unpiltered, the album Wonpil releases approximately four years after his full-length debut Pilmography (Pilmography), literally means Wonpil without a filter. Rather than presenting a refined, polished version, it focuses on leaving his unvarnished self as is, naturally capturing Wonpil's inner world and narrative. Having offered rich sensitivity and a warm voice through various DAY6 records and solo albums, attention is focused on the wide-ranging musical stories he will deliver with this new release.
Riding the momentum of his solo comeback, he will hold a solo concert, WONPIL SOLO CONCERT "Unpiltered," for three days from May 1 to May 3. Details about the performances will be released later.
Meanwhile, Wonpil's first mini album Unpiltered and the title track "love ward" will be available on various music streaming sites at 6 p.m. on March 30.
