Comedian Jang Dong-min revealed the story of how he came to have two children despite being diagnosed as having difficulty conceiving naturally.
On the 12th the YouTube channel "Junho Jimin" published a video titled "God Dong-min's JJ couple discipline." The video showed Jang Dong-min appearing and having an honest conversation with Kim Jun-Ho and Kim Ji-min.
That day Kim Jun-Ho brought up Jang Dong-min's children and joked, "He gives birth to babies very well. It's a gold medal. Exactly one son and one daughter," offering a teasing compliment. When Kim Ji-min asked whether the pregnancies were natural, Jang Dong-min answered, "Both were natural pregnancies," drawing attention.
Jang Dong-min then revealed an unexpected fact. He said, "In fact, I was diagnosed as having difficulty conceiving naturally," and explained, "My sperm count wasn't high and there was almost no motility. There were no fish and the hatchery was almost closed."
About the situation at the time he said, "So I couldn't even imagine natural conception and had basically given up," he confessed. But he said he heard the news of the first pregnancy at an unexpected moment.
Jang Dong-min said, "I was filming when I got a photo of a pregnancy test from my girlfriend," and added, "Because I knew I had difficulty conceiving naturally, I thought she was joking to see my reaction." He continued, "So I just said 'Wow, amazing' and didn't really believe it."
However, he said he realized the situation only after visiting his girlfriend's home a few days later and seeing the actual pregnancy test. He recalled, "There was a test on the dressing table. Only then did I know it was real and I was surprised."
He said the second child also came at an unexpected moment. Jang Dong-min said, "After the first was born, living with my mother-in-law left almost no time for just the two of us," and added, "But there was exactly one day when my mother-in-law took the child and briefly went to the provinces, and after that day the second came," which drew laughter.
He also mentioned pre-wedding fortune-telling. Jang Dong-min said, "Before marriage I had my fortune told and was told that for the next five years I would get pregnant just by brushing against it," and added, "Given my situation, it's really like a gift from the heavens."
Meanwhile, Jang Dong-min married a non-celebrity six years his junior in 2021 and currently has two children, a daughter and a son.<
