A person who was investigated by the police on suspicion of providing illegal medical procedures to broadcaster Park Na-rae reported recent news that they have started a beauty consulting business amid controversy.
On the 12th, the person posted a video on their social account saying, "The dust piled up thickly greets its owner quietly as if telling of the time that has passed." The video shows a space that appears to be the person's clinic.
Earlier, in December last year, Park Na-rae was accused of receiving illegal medical treatment from the so-called 'injection aunt' A, who does not hold a domestic medical license, including receiving injections or being prescribed psychotropic drugs. At the time, Park Na-rae's side said that "the only thing was receiving vitamin injections from someone with a medical license," but medical organizations issued a statement saying that the school A attended was a non-existent 'ghost medical school' and that A was not a holder of a domestic medical license, sparking a controversy.
Eventually the person deleted all posts and went into hiding, and last month was investigated by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station on suspicion of violating the Medical Service Act and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act and violating the Narcotics Control Act. The police have imposed an exit ban on the person and are conducting a search and seizure as they verify the facts related to the charges.
But after finishing the police investigation, the person resumed SNS activity and drew attention. They suddenly posted and deleted a post attacking MBC's I Live Alone and Jun Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae's former manager and others, saying, "After dying once and coming back to life, my thoughts have changed. Staying quiet won't make my wrongdoing disappear, but there's no reason to bear things that are not true," and on the 6th shared an update that they were developing a product.
Also on the 10th they posted a cryptic message saying, "Those who have watched me for a long time will already know how I have lived from the birth of the product. I don't think it's necessary to live explaining 'what kind of person I am,' feeling wronged by what the media clamors. Just be myself. Live as I always have."
Meanwhile, the person is now announcing news of a beauty consulting business and even posting promotional material, continuing a course of action that seems unconcerned about allegations related to illegal medical procedures.
On the 13th the person posted a photo labeled 'VVIP consulting room' along with a message saying, "Beauty consulting is not simply about teaching ways to become prettier. It is a professional customized image consulting that comprehensively analyzes all elements from a person's face shape, skin condition, body type, to image to design the beauty that suits them best. Beauty is not a trend but a process of finding the balance and direction that suits each person," and added, "premium customized beauty consulting that provides to the general public the 18 years of beauty consulting know-how that has designed celebrities' images and body types. I'll do it when the time comes."
When asked whether they had been in contact with Park Na-rae, who was at the center of the 'injection aunt' controversy, the person tried to distance themselves, saying, "I have had no contact or exchange with the accused since the incident." Park Na-rae has paused all broadcast activities and is countersuing the former managers who accused her of abuse with charges including attempted extortion, embezzlement, special injury and defamation.
