Actor Kim Hee-jeong captivated viewers on the Dec. 12 broadcast of KBS2 Problem Child in House with the seasoned wit and warm, human stories befitting a 36-year veteran.
On that day, Kim Hee-jeong revealed an unparalleled record of appearances totaling 12 films and 147 dramas. "It makes me feel alive when I'm working," she said, revealing the passion with which she devoted herself to filming, and she surprised viewers by describing the hardships of a prolific actor who had to handle five projects at once and endure rapid emotional changes.
She also revealed behind-the-scenes stories from the 'Love and War' period, which became a turning point in her life. Recalling that it was a precious opportunity that made her known to the public after she poured her soul into performances despite worried glances from those around her, Kim Hee-jeong expressed amused indignation, stressing that contrary to the public image of an "adulteress," in reality she specialized in playing long-suffering wives.
She also went on to confess about a long 17-year period of obscurity.
