Singer Lee Mi-joo became completely captivated by the charm of a drag artist performance.
On the 13th, a video titled 'You want to win the stare-down? Fine, go ahead' was released on the YouTube channel 'Just Lee Mi-joo'.
Lee Mi-joo met drag artist Bori in Itaewon. "Drag" is a culture that shows gender expression through transformed appearances as a performance. It refers to a stage art that acts out and interprets "gender," and Bori appeared with visuals and performances that overwhelmed Lee Mi-joo and captured attention.
After signing the rental contract, Lee Mi-joo said about the rule of "not losing in looks," "I'm already losing. I've lost a lot. I'm in a shriveled state right now." Bori said, "Before becoming a drag artist I worked at a hair salon. While doing beauty work I had to make customers pretty, and I wanted to become that. I was at a loss, then went to see a drag performance, and an opportunity came so I'm doing it now. I currently run a drag shop."
Bori said, "Our place has a date-course vibe and families come, too. Often mothers bring their daughters." Lee Mi-joo walked the main street of Itaewon with Bori, and passersby looked at Bori and became curious about gender identity. Especially, she happened to meet Kim Ddol-ddol and also learned about Hong Seok-cheon's birthday party.
Lee Mi-joo and Bori had an honest conversation over drinks at a bar. Lee Mi-joo boasted chemistry by performing a skit in which she teased Bori about doing chores and engaged in a beauty-based stare-down, saying she debuted earlier than Bori. Bori said of Lee Mi-joo, "She's more easygoing and communicates better than I expected. I wondered what I should do if she were a real princess, but she wasn't. Still, I think I win on looks," which drew laughter. Lee Mi-joo teased the staff, saying, "I was intimidated because she's so pretty. I thought she had heavy makeup today, but she didn't; I thought she had dressed up, but she hadn't. I might have to go back to the shop. But honestly, aren't I prettier?"
Later, Lee Mi-joo visited the drag shop where Bori performs. When Bori appeared at the packed drag shop with no room to move, Lee Mi-joo cheered and supported her, and commented, "So cool. So cool and admirable. I wonder why I didn't see this sooner."
Meanwhile, Lee Mi-joo broke up with soccer player Song Beom-geun last year. Recently she left Antenna, where she had worked with Yu Jae-seok, and signed an exclusive contract with AOMG, where Kian84 is signed.
