Actor Kim Jin-woo will make his first stage appearance as Jang Ha-rim in the musical "Eyes of Dawn".
The 'Jang Ha-rim' that Kim Jin-woo plays is a character who possesses the cold Jisung and warm character at the same time. Even amid the tumultuous life that changes from independence activist to soldier, he is a central role that leads the main narrative of the play as a character symbolizing a steadfast belief that does not lose humanity and hope.
Kim Jin-woo is expected to portray Jang Ha-rim's anguish and growth three-dimensionally based on his distinctive stable acting and delicate emotional expression. In particular, while forming sharp confrontations with Baek Sung-hyeon, Kim Joon-hyun and Jung Si-uk in the role of Choi Dae-chi, he is expected to maximize the play's immersion by drawing a poignant romance with Park Jeong-ah and Jung Myeong-eun in the role of Yoon Yeo-ok.
The musical "Eyes of Dawn" is a work reinterpreting the blockbuster that caused a phenomenon, originally the MBC drama of the same name that aired from 1989 to May 1990 and recorded a peak audience rating of 58.4%, into a musical; its 2019 premiere was nominated for best production at the Korean Musical Awards.
