"I Live Alone" Kian84 completed a portrait of Junji Ito with respect.
On the 13th episode of MBC entertainment I Live Alone (hereinafter I Live Alone), Kian84 was shown meeting Junji Ito, the "master of horror manga."
Before meeting Junji Ito that day, Kian84 took out a list of questions he had prepared and practiced them in Japanese.
Then, after filling a ramen container with water, he said, "I grew up reading Junji Ito's manga and later drew because of it, so I thought it would be nice to draw a picture and give it as a gift, so I drew it."
However, he could not start easily, and Kian84 complained, "I can't draw it easily when I'm giving it to a manga artist I respected." After 고민 끝에, preserving his distinctive style Kian84 began to draw and suddenly covered the sketch with blue paint, surprising everyone.
Then, fueled by reverence, he filled it in without hesitation. Immersed for two and a half hours, Kian84 completed the portrait, drawing admiration.
Kian84 explained, "I thought Junji Ito was like the universe, so I decorated it with swirls," adding, "To me, the author is like the universe, sometimes like a whirlpool that draws you in." Seeing this, Minho said, "That gave me goose bumps," and Jun Hyun-moo admired, "Beyond skill, because it comes from the heart it's different."
