Members of the second season of 'Manitto Club,' united as one team, prepare 60 servings of late-night meals for firefighters.
The 'Secret Manitto' operation, in which Jung Haein, Go Youn-jung, Park Myung Soo, Hong Jin Kyung, Kim Do-hoon and chef Yun Nam-no of Maggie unite as one team, begins on the seventh episode of MBC variety show Manitto Club, airing 6:05 p.m. on the 15th (Sunday). They plan to offer a meaningful meal to the members of Bucheon Fire Station, who devote themselves day and night to citizens' safety.
The goal of the 'Secret Manitto' operation that day is a special late-night meal gift for some 30 firefighters on night duty. Planning to prepare as many as 60 servings to account for situations returning from dispatch, the large-quantity cooking mission begins. Members who previously developed menu items such as Haeshin kalguksu, abalone tteok-galbi and the Manitto-style 'Dujjonshu' from the 'Dujjonku' dessert plan to present an upgraded version of those menus as a nourishing meal.
Under the direction of executive chef Yun Nam-no, members move busily under the tension of having to complete the cooking within five hours. Especially when the de facto time-attack mission requiring completion from order to setting within four minutes begins, the kitchen plunges into utter chaos in an instant. Unexpected mistakes occur here and there, and an unprecedented situation even arises, adding to the curiosity.
As the real situation approaches, the tension reaches its peak. Chef Yun Nam-no said, "I'm more nervous than when I work in a restaurant," and Jung Haein also revealed his unmistakable nervousness, saying, "I usually don't get this nervous." With firefighters flooding the restaurant as a group and a tense, potentially explosive situation looming, attention is focused on whether the members can secretly and safely deliver a warm meal without being discovered.
