'MZ wannabe icon' IVE member Ga-eul unveiled her solo YouTube content for the first time.
Recently, the first episode of Ga-eul's solo content was released on the YouTube channel "Ga-eul's Temperature."
That day, Ga-eul introduced herself with the "Get 2 Know Me?" concept by holding the "Kim Ga-eul presentation." While making a 2026 vision board and sharing her goals, she revealed her hobbies and interests in daily life through photos related to herself.
Choosing a photo of IVE as the first picture to put on her vision board, Ga-eul expressed her affection for the team, saying "IVE is my entire life." Next, when she put up a photo of herself, she named books as something she likes, drawing attention. Saying she usually reads various genres of books, Ga-eul recalled choosing the first book she read this year and said, "Because it's the book that starts the year, I wanted to read a good book. I even looked up year-end reading roundups others had written," showing her enthusiasm for reading. She continued by talking about her tastes and daily life, including introducing favorite foods and her own recipes.
She also revealed aftermath from her first match on Netflix's Death Game: Bet 10 Million won (hereinafter "Death Game"). Ga-eul recalled, "I was excited as the day approached," and said, "Once the game started, I think I gained confidence. I thought, 'I should go as far as I can,' so I kept challenging myself."
She revealed the behind the scenes of her first solo song "Odd." Ga-eul, who participated in writing the lyrics for "Odd," which was first unveiled last October during IVE's second world tour SHOW WHAT I AM, said she wanted to put her thoughts into the song. She explained the message in the song, saying, "I wanted to say that anxious and imperfect moments shine in themselves," and showed her passion as an artist by sharing various behind-the-scenes details, including finding and sending wardrobe references herself.
She also shared her thoughts on "Ga-eul's Temperature," which she wants to convey through the channel. Ga-eul said, "When launching YouTube, I wanted to create content that people can comfortably watch while doing other things. I started it with the hope that viewers could have a healing time." Toward the end of the video, she wrote a goal of 1 million views for "Ga-eul's Temperature" this year, and she teased a variety of future content featuring her colors, such as reading, cooking and travel, raising expectations.
On the 10th, Ga-eul appeared on Netflix's Death Game and, after a series of wins, previewed a first attempt at a three-game winning streak. With IVE, the group Ga-eul belongs to, having recently finished promotional activities for their second full-length album REVIVE+ (Revive Plus), attention is focused on the diverse paths Ga-eul will show.
Meanwhile, Ga-eul's solo YouTube channel "Ga-eul's Temperature" is released every Wednesday at 9 p.m.
