Kim Sook's ambitious Jeju house renovation project is getting underway in earnest.
The first episode, airing today (13th), of tvN's Unpredictable [Home] (directed by Kim Kwan-tae) shows Kim Sook rolling up her sleeves to renovate a roughly 200-pyeong Jeju house that has sat unused for 10 years, and she begins recruiting workers to repair the house with her.
Through previously released teasers and pre-release videos, Kim Sook's Jeju house and its shocking condition have been revealed. Meanwhile, on this episode Kim Sook reveals the backstory of why she bought the Jeju house years ago because of a long-held romantic notion about owning a home. Her dream of a leisurely Jeju life was brief, and she will fully disclose the reasons she left the house neglected for 10 years due to sudden circumstances, piquing viewers' curiosity.
Determined to finally fix up the long-neglected Jeju house, Kim Sook first devises a plan to bring in her closest aide, Song Eun I. However, Song Eun I, who has known Kim Sook for a long time, does not give in easily to Kim Sook's wishes, and Kim Sook likewise does not back down, suggesting their long friendship chemistry is set to explode.
Above all, Kim Sook's journey to find the workers who will share the joys and sorrows at the construction site unfolds. Because substantial manual labor is required, Kim Sook sets strict conditions, and candidates with extraordinary credentials appear. Faced with workers optimized for the job—such as Lee Cheon-hee with 24 years of carpentry experience and Paek Ga, who even holds an interior design business registration—Kim Sook cannot hide her bright smile.
