Comedian Lee Yongjin recounted an anecdote in which he swore during a past broadcast recording and later apologized to Kim Chang Youl.
On the 12th, a video featuring Kim Won-hoon as a guest was posted on the YouTube channel "Ipman Yeolmyeon."
In the released video, Lee Yongjin and Kim Won-hoon talked about experiences where the atmosphere became awkward because of rude jokes.
In the process, Lee Yongjin recalled the time of a recording of the tvN entertainment program "On-Site Talk Show Taxi." At that time, the program was hosted by Lee Young-ja and Kim Chang Youl.
Lee Yongjin explained that although he was gaining popularity at the time with his comedy corner "Woongi's father," the recording site did not produce as much laughter as expected, making the atmosphere awkward. Seeing this, Lee Young-ja advised him, "Try to be comfortable, like you're having fun at a karaoke," suggesting that joking with some swearing would be fine.
He recalled that he asked them to play DJ DOC's hit "Run to you," then made a joke mixed with profanity saying, "Kim Chang Youl, what are you doing if you're not singing?" However, contrary to his expectations, the atmosphere on site turned cold in an instant.
Lee Yongjin recalled, "After Kim Chang Youl canceled singing, he looked at me for about 15 seconds without saying anything," and said, "It could have been a really big problem." He added, "I ultimately apologized formally."
Meanwhile, Lee Yongjin has previously been embroiled in controversy over remarks made on a past broadcast. He sparked controversy by using language mixed with profanity while talking with Kim Chae-won of the group LE SSERAFIM about low birth rates.
