Singer Park Min-su moved the public with a performance filled with longing and desperation.
Park Min-su appeared on MBN's Mu-myeong jeonseol that aired on the 11th and competed in the "famous selection."
In the broadcast, Park Min-su appeared with the title of "No. 1 publicity ambassador" and revealed his identity before the competition. Park Min-su finished fifth on MBN's Bultaneun Trotman and was active as a TOP7 member, but after stepping outside that circle he found himself complacent as if he had become a celebrity, saying this prompted him to challenge Mu-myeong jeonseol.
Especially after losing more than 20kg and showing a surprisingly changed appearance, Park Min-su said, "I realized that the love I received and the happiness I enjoyed until now were not happiness I made by myself. It may be presumptuous to say, but after receiving great love, when you realize that (popularity) is a bubble you feel even more humbled," and added, "When I asked myself, 'Do I deserve to be loved?' I realized I hadn't even done the most basic thing, dieting. I always practiced singing hard and also changed my outward appearance."
Although he entered as "famous," Park Min-su, who said the reality was the more humble "unknown," returned to his original mindset and chose Gang Jin's "Oyeol," reinterpreting it in his own color and performing it. His soft yet powerful high notes stood out, and the deep emotional expression woven into each lyric left a strong impression. In particular, Park Min-su, who showed stable breath control, the trot-specific vocal bends, and a pleading-toned timbre, delivered a sincere stage filled with longing and desperation.
On Park Min-su's stage, Joo Hyun-mi praised, "You sing so well. You are especially good at songs with trot rhythm. Today's stage was the kind of performance I would pay to see at a concert," and Shin Yu complimented, "I think this was more desperate and earnest than any stage Park Min-su has done so far. That's why it was so pleasant to hear." In response, Park Min-su said, "It was the most desperate stage, and I think it was the result created by sincerity, so I feel relieved and proud."
With a sincere performance that moved the Top Pro judging panel, Park Min-su received a total of 255 points (Top Pro judging panel 119 points·national pro panel 136 points) and advanced to the next round in fourth place.
Meanwhile, MBN's Mu-myeong jeonseol, on which Park Min-su is appearing, airs every Wednesday at 9:40 p.m.
