Broadcaster Seo Dong-joo finally announced that she is pregnant.
On the 12th, Seo Dong-joo announced the pregnancy on her YouTube channel and other social accounts. Posting a photo of a pregnancy test, she cautiously greeted, "Hello! It's been quite a while, hasn't it? ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ."
Seo Dong-joo had said last June that after getting married she was preparing for pregnancy. About the pregnancy she said, "Because of poor ovarian response, we only collected eggs for two years, and finally I had the first transfer. We froze and transferred one three-day embryo and two four-day embryos, and thankfully on the seventh day I saw a magic eye on the pregnancy test," and she added, "After that I watched the line get a little darker and thought, 'Wow, am I really pregnant?'" conveying an unbelievable moment.
However, Seo Dong-joo also expressed worry and anxiety. Seo Dong-joo said, "But life doesn't give you joy that easily. At the first blood test the hCG level was very low, and after failing the doubling at the second and third tests I thought I might be going through a chemical miscarriage. Then at the fourth blood test, miraculously the level exceeded 100, and the doctor said there is still a bit of room to watch," recounting a tense time.
Seo Dong-joo said, "In media, 'pregnancy coming out' is often portrayed as people flying with joy when two lines appear on a pregnancy test and telling their families the news. But reality is not like that at all. The joy of seeing two lines on a pregnancy test was brief, and as this ambiguous time of 'seems pregnant, seems not' continued, my heart became exhausted," she said, sharing her feelings.
Seo Dong-joo said, "A slave to hormones, a slave to the pregnancy test, I cry and pray and endure each day, and this Saturday I will have another blood test. I fervently hope to hear even slightly better news then. Please pray for me. Thank you."
