TV CHOSUN's new weekend miniseries 'Doctor Shin' writer Phoebe (임성한) surprised the cast with a food truck to encourage the actors she boldly cast in her "first medical thriller drama."
TV CHOSUN's new weekend miniseries 'Doctor Shin,' which is scheduled to premiere on the 14th (Sat) at 10:30 p.m., is a medical thriller drama about a genius doctor who challenges the realm of the divine and a woman whose brain is damaged overnight and whose soul slowly disappears.
'Doctor Shin' raises expectations as it is the first medical thriller drama written by writer Phoebe, who brought "boldness and sensation" to every work, from TV CHOSUN's highest-rated drama Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce to the fantasy melodrama across time and space 'Assi Durian.'
Writer Phoebe personally cast through auditions and showed special affection by providing a food truck of warm encouragement to the leads of her "Phoebe-branded first medical thriller drama," Jung I-chan, Baek Seora, An Woo Yeon, Joo Se bin and Cheon Yeong-min.
Meanwhile, writer Phoebe said about casting the five leads Jung I-chan, Baek Seora, An Woo Yeon, Joo Se bin and Cheon Yeong-min, "I heard a lot of comments often heard about established famous actors, such as 'agencies bundle rookies together,' 'the actor doesn't take direction from the writer or director, but rather gives direction like let's do this, let's do that,' and 'they have many schedules and prefer not to take on difficult scenes that require sufficient time and immersion,'" and added, "so I found rookie actors who are ready to put in their best efforts and who exactly match the image."
