The global music awards ceremony "Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2026 (ASIA STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS, hereinafter ASEA 2026)" is entering its full-fledged fan voting schedule.
The ASEA organizing committee announced that the first round of the main vote will begin today (the 12th) at 11 a.m. and voting will continue until the 29th. This main vote, carried out on the momentum of eight months of monthly voting, is a key stage in which global fans directly participate in the process of selecting winners.
This vote will be held across a total of 13 institutional sector.
Included were 9 institutional sector such as "the best group (male/female)", "the best solo (male/female)", "the best trot", "the best new artist", "the best O.S.T.", and "the best artist (male actor/female actor)", along with four "fan choice" institutional sector decided 100% by fan votes.
Global fans can participate in the vote through three official platform apps: "Podoal (PODOAL)", "mubeat (mubeat)", and "my1pick (my1pick)". Results tallied on each platform will be combined and disclosed on the ASEA official website.
The criteria for candidate selection were also disclosed. For singers, the organizing committee selected nominees based on songs and albums released from Mar. 1, 2025, to Apr. 30, 2026, and for actors, nominees were selected based on dramas, OTT and film appearances released during the same period.
In particular, the "fan choice" institutional sector will conduct on-site voting until the award ceremony date on May 17, and because the final winners will be announced immediately upon the close of voting, global fans' interest is growing.
Meanwhile, "ASEA 2026" will be held on May 16 and 17 at Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Launched in 2024, ASEA has established itself as a global music awards ceremony that spotlights artists exerting influence worldwide beyond Asia.
At last year's "ASEA 2025," K-pop artists such as ENHYPEN, aespa and i-dle and Asian stars such as Byeon Woo-seok, Timelesz and Sakurazaka46 participated, drawing about 37,000 spectators over two days. This year's "ASEA 2026" is also expected to be held with an even larger scale and expanded global fan participation.
This year it is co-hosted by Newsen (NEWSEN), a South Korean entertainment and sports specialist media outlet celebrating its 21st anniversary, and Atstyle (@style), a star and style magazine celebrating its 14th anniversary, and is organized by the ASEA organizing committee.
