The group Stray Kids (Stray Kids) set a record for the most awards ever won by a foreign artist by taking four trophies at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards.
On the 11th, the Japan Gold Disc Awards said on its official website that Stray Kids won the "Best Asian Artist" award, and with their Japanese mini-album 3rd "Hollow" (Hollo) they won two Asia institutional sector awards: "Album of the Year" and "Best 3 Albums," and the live Blu-ray of the offline fan event held locally in 2024, "Stray Kids Fan Connecting 2024 "SKZ TOY WORLD"" won "Music Video of the Year (Asia)."
With this, Stray Kids reaffirmed their solid influence as a "global top artist," receiving recognition for high-quality albums and content and taking home the most awards among foreign artists. The Japan Gold Disc Awards are held by the Recording Industry Association of Japan and marked their 40th edition this year. Winners in each institutional sector were selected based on sales of records and videos from Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2025.
Stray Kids, who are active endlessly on the world stage, achieved the feat of "eight consecutive No. 1s" on the U.S. Billboard main chart, the Billboard 200, in 2025 and made Billboard history. On the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) 2025 annual global charts, their fourth studio album "KARMA" (Karma) ranked No. 2 on the global album sales chart, the highest position for a K-pop artist; they were the only K-pop artist in the top 10 on the global artist chart and the global album chart. Riding that momentum, attention is focused on Stray Kids as they continue their victorious run, including winning four trophies at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.
Stray Kids will hold their sixth official fan meeting, Stray Kids 6TH FANMEETING 'STAY in Our Little House' (Stay in Our Little House), at Incheon Inspire Arena on March 28 and 29 and April 4 and 5. In June and September they will attend The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York and Rock in Rio in Brazil as headliners to interact with audiences.
