Nam Sang-ji and Namsung Jin, caught up in a cruel plot, were victims of a car explosion.
On the 11th, the 10th episode of KBS 2TV's daily drama Red Pearl (directed by Kim Seong-geun, written by Kim Seo-jeong) elevated tension to its peak as the dark ambitions of Park Tae-ho (played by Choi Jae-seong) and Choi Yu-na (played by Cheon Hee-ju) concretized.
Earlier, after accepting Park Tae-ho's dangerous offer, Choi Yu-na asked, "It's just going to be a traffic accident, right?" hinting that their plan was ominous and sending chills through viewers.
Baek Jin-joo (played by Nam Sang-ji) and Park Min-joon (played by Kim Kyung-bo) continued to struggle over the study abroad issue. With opposition from Park Min-joon's mother Kim Dan-hee (played by Park Jin Hee) and pressure from his father Park Tae-ho, he felt burdened by studying abroad. Baek Jin-joo indicated she would give up her dream, but Park Min-joon, apologetic that she would abandon her dream because of him, reacted with a sorrow-tinged anger, and after a cold argument the two left, creating a sense of regret.
Meanwhile, Choi Yu-na lured Baek Jin-joo to Park Tae-ho's villa under the pretext of a design contest. But it was a carefully laid trap, and Choi Yu-na deliberately knocked over a plant shelf to injure Baek Jin-joo, raising viewers' anger.
At the same time, Kim Dan-hee devised a desperate plan to meet Baek Jun-gi without Park Tae-ho knowing. Encountering Oh Jung-ran (played by Kim Hee-jeong) in the company lobby, Kim Dan-hee feigned fainting after Oh Jung-ran lightly shoved her and succeeded in being admitted to the hospital. There, Kim Dan-hee disguised herself as someone else to shake off surveillance and continued her desperate battle for revenge by going to meet Baek Jun-gi.
At the same time, Baek Jun-gi received an urgent call that his daughter had been hurt and headed to the villa. Finding Choi Yu-na with Baek Jin-joo there, he felt a strange sense of crisis and hurriedly put his daughter in the car and drove to the hospital. After they left, Choi Yu-na murmured, "I did nothing wrong," revealing that everything that happened had been meticulously planned and tightening the drama's tension.
As Baek Jun-gi raced toward the hospital, his car suddenly accelerated uncontrollably and overturned. While Baek Jin-joo barely escaped the car to climb up the hill to seek help, a bomb attached to the vehicle detonated and Baek Jun-gi's car exploded in massive flames. Baek Jin-joo's desperate scream calling for her father from afar turned living rooms into seas of tears.
At the end of the broadcast, Kim Dan-hee, who believed she could meet Baek Jun-gi after evading everyone, was horrified when she saw Park Tae-ho at the meeting place. The episode closed with a powerful ending showing Baek Jin-joo, who lost her family in an instant, and Kim Dan-hee, who faced a crisis with revenge within reach, delivering a captivating immersion.
