Group SHINee member ONEW has swept domestic and international album and digital charts and is now aiming for music shows.
ONEW will appear on the cable channel Mnet's 'M Countdown,' which airs today (the 12th) at 6 p.m., to premiere the comeback stage for his fifth mini album TOUGH LOVE and its title track of the same name. It has been about three years since ONEW last appeared on a music show after his first full-length album Circle, which has raised expectations.
TOUGH LOVE is a song that carries an enterprising message of "enduring all pain because of love and awakening potential," and critics say ONEW proved his musical capability by writing the lyrics and, for the first time since his debut, participating in composition.
It is characterized by ONEW's distinctive lyrical vocals that heighten emotional immersion, and the song's powerful drop in the chorus boasts a high addictiveness that is unforgettable once heard. ONEW is reported to have prepared a surprise performance for this comeback stage that can captivate both fans' eyes and ears, drawing intense interest.
With the fifth mini album TOUGH LOVE, ONEW has demonstrated overwhelming global popularity by topping domestic and international charts upon his comeback. The album hit No. 1 on iTunes' Top Albums chart in nine countries and regions worldwide immediately after release, including Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Indonesia, Japan, Chile, Taipei, the Philippines and Hong Kong, and the title track TOUGH LOVE also ranked No. 1 on domestic major music site Bugs' top 100.
ONEW plans to begin full-fledged TOUGH LOVE comeback activities starting today (the 12th) with M Countdown.
