The film "Rock" (screenplay/director: Lee Deok-chan | presented by: Michigan Venture Capital Co., Ltd. | distributed by: Ace Maker Movie Works Co., Ltd. | produced by: Yeonghwa Jeok Sungan Co., Ltd., Fine Town Production Co., Ltd.) confirmed the historic meeting of Sul Kyung-gu, Jeon Jong-seo and Seo Eun-soo, and announced its full-scale launch by releasing script-reading set stills that convey overwhelming immersion.
In the released reading set stills from "Rock," you can see the actors' intense energy and perfect chemistry that evoke an actual filming set. "Rock" is an occult mystery film that digs into the secret of a huge, mystically powerful rock deep in the mountains that "answers when you ask." The fact that the production team behind "Exhuma," which sparked an occult boom in the Korean film market, has joined forces also adds confidence in the film's completeness.
First, Sul Kyung-gu, who elevates each character itself into a genre in every work, plays the shaman with a secret, Eulseok. In particular, Sul Kyung-gu takes on the occult genre for the first time in his acting career in this work, promising a radical transformation unlike anything seen before. Opposing him, Jeon Jong-seo plays Hee-jin, who probes the mystery that began to consume the family following the death of her younger sister Hee-seon.
From "Burning" to "Call" and "Project Y," Jeon Jong-seo has shown a singular aura, and in this work she will lead the play's tension by setting up a tense rivalry with Sul Kyung-gu's Eulseok. In addition, Seo Eun-soo, who appeared in Disney+ original series Made In Korea as well as the drama Chief Detective 1958 and the film The Witch Part 2., joined to lend weight to the lineup. Seo Eun-soo plays Hee-nam, who, together with her sister Hee-jin, suspects foul play in the death of their younger sister Hee-seon and seeks to uncover the truth, completing the film's immersion with dense emotional acting and a chilling presence.
"Rock" begins shooting on the 12th (Thu).
