After taking a break following allegations of ties to organized crime, broadcaster Cho Sae-ho returned with a changed appearance. He returned a bit plumper and revealed his leisurely recent life, saying, "I have a lot of time."
On the 9th, a broadcast segment marking Cho Sae-ho's return was released on the official channel for season 4 of the Netflix variety show Screwballs: The Rival.
In this "strongest high school girl contest" episode, they held a class president election, and Cho Sae-ho said, "Compared with you all, I have a lot of time," and added, "I can take care of personal tasks like bank business or household chores for you. I can receive packages and answer calls anytime now," drawing attention.
Later, when asked, "Can you do designated driver service at night?" Cho Sae-ho replied, "I can definitely do that. If you call me, I will rush over no matter what."
This was a recent self-deprecating remark about his own temporary halt in activities. Cho Sae-ho left several programs amid allegations of ties to organized crime, including KBS 2TV's 1 Night 2 Days and the cable channel tvN's You Quiz on the Block. He later took a break and mentioned that he now had more free time than before.
Cho Sae-ho previously said on the April 22 episode of Screwballs 4's "vocal god deathmatch" segment, "I don't know if I should say this, but I'm concentrating on this one thing right now. I spend time with my wife and have various hobbies, and I talked with the producer almost eight days a week. To the point my wife might misunderstand. Time wasn't passing, so I'm learning guitar." He also noted that after pausing activities he had more free time than before. It was a different look from the past when he was busy with multiple TV appearances and YouTube activities.
Not only did Cho Sae-ho's remark that he had become more leisurely draw attention, but his changed appearance was also a topic. Kim Sook asked Cho Sae-ho, "Have you been crying a lot these days? Your face looks very puffy." Cho Sae-ho's face was somewhat plumper than before his activity hiatus. Hong Jin Kyung also said, "It looks like you gained weight again this time. The yo-yo effect must have come back," which embarrassed Cho Sae-ho. His appearance had changed in many ways after the activity pause.
Cho Sae-ho had faced controversy and paused activities after allegations of ties to organized crime surfaced. Returning through Screwballs 4, Cho Sae-ho said, "From now on, I will be more careful in my relationships as I live my life. I want to apologize for causing concern. Because I was careless in relationships, this time has given me a lot to think about."
