"You Quiz on the Block"'s Woozy confessed the psychological crisis he experienced during his past hiatus and the heartbreaking personal story of his sudden bereavement of his father.
The program, which aired on the 11th, featured singer Woozy, who created a reverse-run phenomenon with a song sung in the military, on tvN's You Quiz on the Block.
Woozy debuted at the young age of 19, but recalled the time when he had to halt activities around age 21 due to unavoidable circumstances. Woozy said, "It was really hard. It felt like a season when I was tormenting myself, asking, 'How am I going to get through this?'"
At the time when he was psychologically at his lowest, a greater tragedy came to Woozy. Woozy recalled the moment, saying, "My mother called. Strangely, I had a bad feeling even before I answered. When I picked up, she said, 'Seung-yeon, don't be shocked, listen. Something is wrong.' She told me the news that my father had passed away."
In particular, Woozy revealed, "Actually, even now I don't know the cause of my father's death. My father passed away abroad," surprising everyone. Woozy recalled the sad journey, saying, "To bring my father's body home, he was cremated locally in the Philippines. After carrying the urn and visiting the places in the Philippines where my father had lived, I finally brought him back to Korea."
Finally, Woozy added, "I couldn't accept that the biggest mountain, my father, was inside this small urn. I really couldn't believe it and it didn't feel real," expressing his longing for his father.
