Group Blackpink is breaking various K-pop records on the two major global charts, the U.S. Billboard and the U.K. Official Chart.
On the 9th (local time), according to the latest chart released by Billboard, Blackpink's mini third album [DEADLINE] title track "GO" rose to No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100. This is the group's 11th overall chart entry and the most entries for a K-pop female artist.
Also, Blackpink reached No. 13 on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.), and earlier on the Billboard 200, [DEADLINE] secured the group's fifth overall chart entry. It once again underscores Blackpink's powerful presence in the mainstream pop market.
In addition to Billboard, Blackpink is riding overwhelming popularity across various global music charts. On the U.K. Official Chart singles top 100, they placed at No. 44, and [DEADLINE] ranked No. 11 on the albums top 100, marking the group's 12th and fourth overall chart entries respectively, setting new records for most entries by a K-pop female artist in both the single and album categories.
Their dominance continues on music charts as well. [DEADLINE] topped Hanteo's weekly and monthly charts with only two and a half days of tracking, went on to claim three crowns on the Circle Chart, and in one week sold 1.774577 million copies, breaking the first-week sales record for a K-pop girl group.
Blackpink's mini third album [DEADLINE], released on the 27th of last month, is receiving praise from major foreign media for its high musical completeness. Rolling Stone described that "Blackpink has returned to its peak era," and Billboard lauded the title track "GO" as "the best song on the album and a track that truly represents Blackpink."
