Actor Bae Yong-joon purchased additional shares of Blitzway Entertainment.
On the 10th, according to the Financial Supervisory Service electronic disclosure system, Bae Yong-joon acquired an additional 422,556 common shares of Blitzway Entertainment through on-market purchases on the 5th and 6th. The acquisition amount was about 500 million won, and accordingly Bae Yong-joon's holdings increased from about 3.87 million shares to about 4.3 million shares, expanding his equity stake to 8.63%.
Bae Yong-joon is one of the major shareholders who participated in investment in Blitzway Entertainment from its early days. Blitzway Entertainment is home to many artists who came from KeyEast, the entertainment agency Bae Yong-joon founded, including actors Ju Jihoon, Woo Do Hwan and Kwak Dong- yeon. In addition to them, Jung Ryeo-won, In Gyo-jin, Park Ki Woong, Chun Woo-hee, Doh Kyung Soo, Chae Jong Hyeop, Moon Chae-won, Park Haseon, Jung In-Sun, Yoon Bak, Kang Min-ah, Son Dam-bi, Kim Ye-rim, Kim Wooseok, Chae Seo-an, Han Bo-reum, Cha Joo-wan, Younha, Jung Jihoon, Lee Yun-hwan and Lee Ga-yeon are also affiliated.
After a special appearance in KBS 2TV drama "Dream High" in 2011, Bae Yong-joon suspended his acting career. He married actress Park Su-jin, who is 13 years his junior, in 2015, and the following year they had their first son and in 2018 their second child, a daughter. After marriage he devoted himself to his family, and in 2018 he sold 25.12% of KeyEast's shares to SM Entertainment and has not been active in the entertainment industry since. Bae Yong-joon is known to be currently living with his family in Hawaii.
