Singer Yena cheered on the South Korean national team's victory at the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC).
Yena held a press conference to commemorate the release of her fifth mini album 'LOVE CATCHER (Love Catcher)' at CGV Apgujeong in Gangnam District, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 11th and talked about the new album.
Yena's new record 'LOVE CATCHER' is an album that conveys moments of love that arrived like a spring breeze in a variety of emotions and colors. Yena put her own kitsch sensibility and honest stories into it and is expected to make the musical color of 'Yena core' even clearer.
The title track 'Catch Catch' is a song that lightly blends the tension of a 'chase and being chased' relationship over electro-pop sounds. Yena's distinctive bubbly energy and an addictive melody meet to portray the push and pull of love as Yena's unique charm.
Yena explained about the title track 'Catch Catch', "With its addictive melody and my bubbly charm, you will see a more mature and cheeky side of me."
She continued, "These days it's WBC baseball season, right? Since my song is 'Catch Catch', I hope people listen to my song when they catch the ball and get energized. I hope my song can help them get to first place. I hope they catch every ball," she said.
Meanwhile, Yena's fifth mini album 'LOVE CATCHER' will be released through various music sites at 6 p.m. that day.
