DAY6 (DAY6) Wonpil will hold a solo concert in May following the release of his solo album in March.
Wonpil will release his first mini album "Unpiltered" on the 30th and return to his fans. JYP Entertainment posted a scheduler on DAY6's official SNS channels on the afternoon of the 10th and introduced a teasing plan.
According to the scheduler, on the 11th a concept film, on the 13th a track list, on the 16th–18th concept photos, on the 19th an Unpiltered record teaser, from the 20th–29th Unpiltered record, on the 23rd a track manual, from the 27th–29th a listening pop-up event called Unpiltered Layer, and on the 28th–29th a music video teaser, presenting abundant content.
Riding that momentum, he will hold a three-day solo concert WONPIL SOLO CONCERT "Unpiltered" from May 1 to 3. It is a solo performance held about 4 years and 2 months after his first solo concert Pilmography in March 2022, drawing fans' delight. Detailed information about the performance will be released sequentially later.
Wonpil began teasing the new album with a concept film released at 12 a.m. on the 11th. The video opens showing Wonpil adjusting the camera. Trying to shoot with a perfect smile, Wonpil soon begins to shoot freely, capturing a variety of expressions in photos: without expression, furrowing his brow while thinking deeply, and naturally smiling. Looking through the photos, he finds a Polaroid with an image inside a glass box, faces himself crying, and ends with pent-up emotions bursting out. The concept film, which combines Wonpil's delicate emotional expression and dramatic scenes, enhances immersion and leaves a deep impression.
The new release Unpiltered is an album in which Wonpil appears anew as a solo artist about four years after his first full-length album Pilmography in February 2022. Since debuting in September 2015, he has steadily written and composed DAY6's signature songs and established his presence as an emotional singer-songwriter with balanced vocal and instrumental skills, raising expectations for the musical stories he will convey with this new work.
Meanwhile, Wonpil's mini album 1 Unpiltered will be officially released at 6 p.m. on March 30.
