Group SHINee member and solo singer Taemin will join the same agency as G-DRAGON.
AI entertech corporations Galaxy Corporation said on the 11th, "We have signed an exclusive contract with Taemin," adding, "We will spare no support so that Taemin's unique artistic capabilities can create synergy with our company's cutting-edge technology."
Galaxy Corporation, Korea's first AI entertech corporation, is developing entertech businesses that combine the latest technologies such as AI and robots with entertainment content. This recruitment is the company's strategic choice to create added value by merging artists' intellectual property (IP) with digital technology.
With this move, Taemin will be under the same agency as singer G-DRAGON, actor Song Kang-ho, and broadcaster Kim Jong Kook.
Taemin, who debuted in 2008 as a member of SHINee, released numerous hit songs such as "Noona Neomu Yeppeo," "Ring Ding Dong," and "View," and played a leading role in the K-pop wave. After his solo debut in 2014, he solidified his position as a solo artist with distinctive performance skills by presenting songs such as "Danger," "Move," and "Want."
In August 2024 he launched his first solo world tour, "Ephemeral Gaze," starting at Incheon Inspire Arena, and successfully held a global tour of 37 shows in 20 countries across Asia, the United States and Europe.
After leaving SM Entertainment, where he spent many years, Taemin moved from Big Planet Made Entertainment and others to Galaxy Corporation and is expected to participate in multilateral global projects that incorporate entertech technologies such as AI and robots.
Taemin will perform on the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival stage in Indio, California, on April 11 and 18.
