Singer Sung Si Kyung will host the ninth season of The Seasons, and its title has been unveiled.
KBS on the 11th said, "KBS 2TV music talk show The Seasons' ninth season will be titled The Seasons–Sung Si Kyung's ear boyfriend and will premiere on the 27th."
Earlier, KBS released a teaser video that piqued curiosity about the new title and received a strong response. As Sung Si Kyung has been loved as the "ballad emperor" who represents the music industry with his unique tone and sensibility, this season was confirmed with the title "Sung Si Kyung's ear boyfriend," directly reflecting his signature epithet.
Sung Si Kyung will lead the program based on his long-cultivated musical depth and stage experience and his witty talk shown across various broadcasts and content. As the original "ear boyfriend," the new "ear boyfriends" and "ear girlfriends" he introduces will perform every Friday night, promising a special healing time blending music and talk.
The Seasons was the first late-night music talk show on KBS to adopt a seasonal MC format, and since 2023 top domestic artists such as Park Jae Beom, Choi Jung Hoon (Jannabi), AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, Lee Young Ji, Park Bo Gum and 10cm have taken turns as MCs. Each season features different MCs and various music stories, continuing its status as a leading late-night music talk show in Korea.
The Seasons–Sung Si Kyung's ear boyfriend will record its first episode on the 17th and will premiere at 10 p.m. on the 27th.
