Actor Im So-young leaves a strong impression on theaters with the occult horror genre.
Im So-young plays PD Woo Aram, who uncovers the truth of the case, in the film Samakdo (director Chae Ki-jun), which opens on the 11th, guiding audiences into the heart of the mystery.
The film Samakdo is an occult horror that depicts the hell witnessed in a village sealed with prophecies and secrets surrounding a cult that disappeared after the Japanese colonial period, and Woo Aram, played by Im So-young, serves as a source of energy for the filming team with her characteristically bright and proactive personality, but as the investigation deepens she is expected to realistically portray emotional changes as she becomes increasingly overwhelmed by the bizarre truths that emerge.
Im So-young, a former member of the girl group Stella, has steadily expanded her acting range. Starting with the web drama Today office, tomorrow romance, she has shown versatile performances across genres in productions such as the drama Goeri and Cynicism, the film Yongrugak: Heartless City, and Sasun. Samakdo is Im So-young's first occult project and is expected to showcase a cooler and more intense charm different from before.
